The 3rd Meeting of the Local Action Plan (LAP) Team for the LAP BLACK project was successfully completed.

The Municipality of Kavala successfully held the 3rd Meeting of the Local Action Team (LAP Team) as part of the project "Strengthening the Local Intervention Capacities for Climate Change in the Black Sea Region (LAP BLACK)" of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program (BSB00353). The meeting took place on Friday, November 14, 2025, in the event hall of TEE A-M (2 Votsi Street, Kavala).

The LAP BLACK project, implemented in collaboration with the Istanbul Technical University (Turkey) as Lead Partner, the Municipalities of Sakarya (Turkey) and the Municipality of Kobuleti (Georgia), and the Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centers (UABSC), and the Municipality of Kavala (Greece).rn

At the 3rd Local Action Group Meeting, the following were presented and discussed:rn

  • Presentation by TEE-AM of the results of the Local Action Group members' meetingrn
  • Analysis of the results of the climate risk prioritization questionnairesrn
  • Workshop – Prioritization of Thematic Indicator Groups based on the correlation between Natural Risk and Sector of Activity.rn

During the 3rd meeting, the local action group presented the conclusions from its internal meetings. This was followed by an analysis of the results of the climate risk ranking questionnaires, which provided useful information for recording the most important environmental challenges in the region. This was followed by an interactive workshop, where participants worked in groups to prioritize areas representing different aspects of local life and public policy that will be affected by the risks of the heatwaves in the municipality of Kavala. The meeting concluded with a summary of the key points and the planning of actions to be taken until the next meeting.
